Antidepressant Medications May Help Covid-Related Breathing Problems
A new study in JAMA shows a drug similar to Prozac may help ward off the dangerous respiratory problems that occur with COVID-19 when taken within seven days of the first symptoms. Only adults were included in the study. It included 152 people and I am sure will be the gateway to larger studies. Curious if the large number of people already on these drugs have a less severe course if infected?
"Magic Mushrooms" Could Treat Depression
This concept may seem controversial to some but major depression is life-threatening. This is such exciting research published this week in JAMA Psychiatry. The results are astounding.
